Delete your account and data
You can delete your Shimba account in two ways. · Türkçe
1. From inside the app (fastest)
- Open Shimba and tap your name in the top bar to open your profile.
- Tap the gear icon (Settings), then Account details.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm with Yes, delete.
Your account and all your data are deleted immediately and permanently.
2. Request by email
If you can't access the app, write to us from the email address you used for your account. We will complete your request within 30 days at the latest and let you know by email.
To verify your identity, the request must come from the email address registered to the account.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in details (email address, Google or Apple identity)
- Your quit date, cigarette and pack details, relapse records
- Your personal profile: your name, birth year, reasons for quitting, the sentence you tell yourself
- Your journal (mood and craving) entries and the goals you achieved
- Your AI Coach usage counter and your subscription status
What is kept
No personal data linked to your account is kept. Records of subscription payments are kept by Google Play / the App Store under their own legal retention obligations; you need to cancel your subscription separately in the store.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription automatically. To stop it from renewing, cancel it in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions, or on iPhone in Settings > your name > Subscriptions.
